ABS Sensor
General Information
- An ABS, anti-lock brake system, is a safety system that allows the auto wheels to maintain tractive contact with the road surface according to driver inputs while braking, preventing the wheels from ceasing rotation and avoiding uncontrolled skidding.
- ABS generally offers improved vehicle control and decreases stopping distances on dry and slippery surface. It not only prevents wheel lock under braking, but also electronically controls front-to-rear braking misalignment.
Structure
- Sensor housing is made from high quality materials with both high temperature and environmental protection resistance
- Connectors and terminals are manufactured to OE specifications to ensure accurate, water-tight connection
- Sensors are 100% tested for proper functioning
- Grommets and wire clips optional
Technical Features and Properties
- The Hall element generates an alternating voltage that is proportional to the changing magnetic field the sinusodial voltage is processed by the circuit into an alternating digital output signal, and the wheel-speed information is transferred into load-independent rectangle current.
- Silicon integrated circuit in the sensor head, which is hermetically sealed with plastic overmold
- Detecting vehicle wheel rotation speed by using a non-contact measurement principle
- Various standard sensor heads suitable for various customer applications
- Integral part of braking control and driving management system
Benefits
- Improves maneuverability when driving on road surfaces with varying speeds, especially steerability during emergency braking
- Significantly enhances vehicle stability, minimizes skidding, reduces braking distance with better controllability
- Compact size package and low weight perfect for space-restrictive installation
- Standard sensor construction suitable for various customer applications
- Significant reduction in costs and weight
